Description

Face minilift is a face surgery that restores the youth lost with age, relocates muscles and removes excess of fat and skin.
The procedure entails a minimum incision hidden behind and/or before the ear. The amount of loose skin that can be removed is limited.

It is a minimally invasive surgery that requires local anaesthesia, which implies less risk. Recovery is quick and allows to resume the routine in a few days.

This surgery may take between half an hour and three hours with very evident results. The skin is softer and tighter without modifying your features: just going back to your appearance before flaccidity.
Face minilift does not replace a complete facelift since the two procedures have different objectives.

How long does the procedure effect last?

Its effects will last in relation to your lifestyle and your genetics.

When is it especially indicated? At what age?

For patients that wish to improve the most visible signs of aging, such as wrinkles and flaccidity at the chin line, cheeks and neck. It is recommended for patients between 40 and 50 with incipient signs of facial aging.

How long before results are visible?

After two or three weeks, the patient will no longer have bruises and the scars should have recovered. However, the final results will start to show after a month or even three to six months after the procedure, since that is the time the dermis takes to recover.

What side effects should I expect?

Temporary bruises, swelling, numbness, soft or tight skin and dry skin. Risks of face minilift are higher in smokers since they are more likely to have scarring issues.

What is the difference between minilift and a total or traditional face lift?

The face minilift is a much easier intervention. It is a shorter, outpatient procedure with a very fast recovery. The scar is smaller and the result is very natural.
